THE GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.

Ephesians 4;11

And his gifts were  that some should be apostles,some prophets,some evangelists,some pastors   and teachers,

12.to equip the saints for the work of ministry,for building up the body of Christ,

13.until we all attain to the unity of the faith,and of the knowledge of the son of God,to mature manhood,to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;

14.So that we may no longer be children,tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine,by the cunning’ of men,by their craftiness in deceitful wiles .

®The Holy Spirit is the Pure Spirit of God.it is also called;

1.The Spirit of Christ /Spirit of God

2.The Spirit of Truth,wisdom and revelation

® The Holy Spirit is the very life of God.He is the promise of the father.

    ®There are many kinds of gifts,but the same Spirit,there are many kinds of service but the same Lord is served.

1 .THE GIFT OF SPEAKING IN OTHER TONG’UES

A tong’ue  refers to a earthly spoken  language.When you speak in unknown tongues,You speak a language,that is not your native language,but the one you are divinely enabled by the Holy Spirit to utter

© Speaking in tong’ues is one of the manifestations of the Holy spirit in us.

Christ Jesus says,”These signs will accompany,all that believe in my name will they cast out demons,they shall prophesy and speak in new tong’ues,lay hands upon the sick and they shall recover …”

BUILDING THE BODY OF CHRIST (THE CHURCH)

1 Cor 12;7.

“To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit, for the common good.”

1 Cor 14:2.

1 Cor 14:4.

“He who speaks in a tong’ue,edifies himself,but he who prophesies edifies the church.”

Acts 2:33.

“Being therefore exalted at the right hand of God,and having received from the father the promise of the Holy spirit,he has poured out this which you see and hear.”

“For one who Speaks  in a tong’ue  speaks not to men but to God ;for no one understands him,but he  utters mysteries in the spirit.”

Speaking in other tongues is praying in the Spirit.

Praying in other tong’ues charges/edifies your Spirit man

When we pray in tong’ues our Spiritual senses are activated .The revelation ministry of the Spirit is activated when we pray in other tong’ues.

2 .THE GIFT OF PROPHECY .

It is the utterance of the words of exhortation,comfort and edification to the church.The Spirit of prophecy is a spirit of edification and not manipulation.

A simple utterance of prophecy can  provide hope an encouragement in an hopeless situation.
